Pie. It’s a word that conjures happy thoughts. For some people, it’s pecan. For others, banana cream. Some people prefer chocolate peanut butter pie. Then there is the group where any mention of the word makes their mouths water for pizza.

So why not take some time to reward yourself with it? Right? I don’t mean like “Hey, I got all the kids successfully to their activities so I’m ordering pizza” reward. That’s the intention of Domino’s Piece of the Pie Rewards. For ever purchase you make, you accumulate points toward a free 2-topping pizza. Six orders equals a free pizza. That’s not bad.

Have you tried Domino’s since they revamped their menu and the formulas for what goes into making a great pizza? After going behind-the-scenes with Domino’s last year, learning about the process and hearing what worked and didn’t, I knew they were back on the right path. Even the pizza they let me make by myself tasted good! That’s kind of a big deal since I’m not the cook in our house. I’ll be honest and say I hadn’t ordered from Domino’s in a while so it was surprising to taste what a difference a new approach could make.

That meeting is also when I first heard about Domino’s Piece of the Pie program. How do you earn free pizza? It’s as easy as setting up an account, opting into their rewards program and ordering pizza. Yes, it’s that easy. Maybe the more interesting question would be why would you want to set up an account in the first place?

Because free pizza. Duh.

Okay, that probably wasn’t the most professional response. Let me try again. Having a Domino’s account is more than just a place to store your name and address. Domino’s has a feature that allows you to easily reorder your favorite items. You store them in the system and at the press of a button, reorder the same grouping of items without having to flip through the whole process again. This is also the trigger to utilize the AnyWare ordering options which I’ll tell you about in a minute.

Most of us order the same things over and over. It’s just normal. But have you ever decided to veer from your usual order and add extra ingredients or maybe try a different crust? Then when you’re ready to reorder you can’t remember what exactly you ordered last time? Or maybe you only order certain items when specific people are joining you. Within your profile, you can go back through recent orders, locate that one that’s out of the ordinary and click to reorder. Once again, without needing to run through the entire selection process because, really, we’re just ready for our pizza to arrive and we don’t want to spend time online creating it. Right?

Of course, having a profile is also a nice way to store gift cards. But the point of this is to tell you about the Piece of the Pie rewards program, not just about how easy it is to order. The program is simple: Every order over $10 earns you 10 points. Every 60 points earns you a medium 2-topping pizza. There are only a few rules and restrictions to the program that are worth mentioning. First, you have to be at least 13 years old. Second, you can only earn a reward once a day. So even if you opt to split your order into multiple purchases, you still only earn 10 points. Third, points expire after 6 months. If you order regularly, that’s not a big deal. If you rotate your purchases with other friends (IE in the dorm) so everyone takes turns ordering then you’ll probably want to keep a closer watch so the points don’t expire.

I don’t know about you but sometimes things get hectic. Sometimes there’s a sitter watching the kids. Sometimes you lose track of time and realize it’s almost dinner time and you don’t have anything planned. That’s when you can rely on Domino’s AnyWare ordering options to get your order placed even quicker! You can order by utilizing a variety of devices including a Smart TV, Echo, from an Apple Watch, via Twitter, text and even an app. The Zero Click app, which automatically orders your Easy Order 10 seconds after you launch the it, is available for Apple and Android devices.
