Watch These Videos – I Dare You
Today is the last day of 2015. A year marked by many things, both good and bad. At times, the news causes me to lose faith in humanity altogether. Terrorism abroad and at home, corruption, political fighting, you name it – ugliness is absolutely everywhere.
This is the time of year we should all reflect on how we lived our lives and make decisions about how we want to be different (and better) next year. I have a challenge for you. Watch these five videos. I know not a single one of you will be able to finish all of them without a dry eye if you have even a sliver of compassion in your heart.
Lily & the Snowman
Denali – A Tribute to Man’s Best Friend
Sir Nicholas Winton
Blindfolded Muslim Man
The Other Letter
What’s the significance of these videos? They’re not ours, nor are they related to each other. They’re simply inspiring and thought-provoking messages that I though you probably haven’t seen yet. I hope they impact how 2016 will be.
I too get disheartened about what is going on around the world-politically and otherwise. I watched a couple of these and yes, I did need a tissue or two. I really do try to live my life and treat others the way I wish to be treated-If we ALL did this what a wonderful world it would be.
These videos are very inspiring and heart touching. Thanks for sharing it with us.
These are inspiring and beautiful.
these videos are so moving great post
Those are some great movie choices. I am known to cry at movies and a huge animal lover so I don’t know if I can handle the dog one.
I really dislike watching the news and avoid it most times. Too much negativity. These videos just the opposite – heartwarming and inspiring. That’s what I want to see more of.
The Other Letter brings tears to my eyes. It is so true…time with loved ones is the best gift of all. I agree with Dawn …the news needs to run each video daily!
How nice! We all need something uplifting these days 🙂
I watched the first video and thought it was so sweet. It is so true that we get so busy in life and don’t remember what is important. I have to admit that I didn’t think that I could watch any of the other videos. Twill come back and try to watch them.
You were right, I couldn’t make it through all of them without shedding a tear. My favorite video was Lily and the snowman. It was a good reminder to not forget about the things we once loved.
The start of the new year is always a good time to reevaluate our positions in life. Inspiring stories like these can help realize what is truly inoortabt.
Oh my goodness, I loved these. Thanks for sharing!
I love sweet videos like these! The other letters made me tear up – I need to watch more of these
Love Lily & the Snowman. I used to be really great about not working between 4 pm and bedtime, but my to-do list won out a lot this past year. Need to make more time to enjoy moments with my kids.
It’s so refreshing to see videos that aren’t intended to mock or hurt people. I can’t watch the dog one or I’ll be a mess for hour, anything with animals is my weakness
Mostly I like was the Lily and the snowman, it melts my heart.
Awwww, these are smile inducing! I love the sweetness of the first one and its innocence.
2016 is going to be a good year. That is true in no small part because there are so many people who care, in so many ways. 🙂 Happy New Year!! And thank you for the cool streamline of video shares.
I love the Lily and the Snowman. Kids have such great imagination.
