My Skin Clearly Loves This System
Normally I spend my days sitting in front of a screen or hiding behind a camera. While I care about my appearance, I don’t worry about going overboard. Last week was kind of unique for me because I was in front of more people in one week than I think I have been in an entire year. On Monday, I had a video conference interview regarding a potential project with a client. Wednesday included a presentation on a local TV station talking about some hot holiday toys. Friday I spoke on a marketing panel at The Toy & Game Innovation Conference followed by introduction of sponsors at the media breakfast at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair on Saturday. For a change, I was forced to really focus on my appearance.
As I have explained quite a bit, I’ve incorporated a variety of creams and lotions, serums and essential oils into my skincare routine. While I’m trying to ward off the signs of aging, I’m mostly just realizing that good skincare shows no matter how old you are. Quality grooming products make a huge difference, too. Now I’m taking things up a notch to the sonic level with Soniclear Anti-Microbial Skin Cleansing System by Michael Todd.
Let me start by saying that I can be a bit of a skeptic but when it comes to gadgets of all types, I always like to try. That is how I discovered how amazing the Sonicare toothbrush is and how to create delicious food on an indoor grill. I’ve been curious about these skin cleansing systems ever since I started reading about them over a year ago but I haven’t pulled the trigger to try one until now.
Sometimes it takes me a few times before I really see the difference, but in the case of the Soniclear I knew after just one try with the facial brush. It left my skin feeling soft and silky. Dare I say “Soft as a baby’s bottom” but yeah, like that. Miss K insisted on using the Soniclear after feeling how soft it left my skin. She’s genuinely interested in trying things like this. Since she is the one in our family who I suspect will be giving me beauty advice for years to come, I really couldn’t say no.
The process of using it is extremely easy and fool-proof. There are two different anti-microbial brushes: a facial brush and a body brush. The unit is safe for the shower which makes it easy to use as part of the daily routine. Here’s the process as demonstrated with the facial brush:
Wet your face and the brush with warm water. Apply a small amount of non-abrasive cleansing product to your face or to the brush. Michael Todd offers a variety of cleansers, but since I don’t own any of those I went with what I have and love: H2O Sea Salt body wash. I felt like I could control the distribution better if I applied it directly to my face than if I put it on the brush.
Turn on the brush to your desired setting. There are three settings for each brush type. We opted for the lowest setting. Begin cleansing a segment of your face. The unit will beep when you should move your focus to another area. After a few minutes, it turns off completely.
Rinse your face and the brush with warm water. Pat your face dry then bask in the softness.
Both Miss K and I agreed that our faces felt cleaner and softer. I’m anxious for Miss M to try it out and give us her feedback. If she loves it as much as Miss K and I do, I suspect I’ll need to order them one of their own so I can keep mine!
The Soniclear Cleansing System has a comfortable grip and is lightweight. Not only is it easy to use (and as I mentioned before, waterproof!) but it’s also very quick. The charging station is small and doesn’t take a lot of space. The brush covers even have holes to help with drainage and drying. The only complaints I have involve the brush heads. They aren’t marked to identify which is which nor is there any type of storage container for the one not not in use. It would have been nice if the package came with better storage solutions. I would like to see either a travel bag for when the unit or one of the brushes isn’t in use, or some type of shower caddy to hold the main unit and both brush heads in the shower. These are trivial issues when weighed against all the positive features!

My kids are now teens and constantly fighting acne. This might be something they should try! Thanks for the indepth look at how it works!
This Soniclear cleansing system looks like a very good system to help clean the skin and exfolitate it and make it feel smooth. I know that i would love to have one of these systems. They sure have a nice brush to clean the skin.
I have truly heard so many things about this Soniclear cleansing system that it is on my gift list for myself, I think I will be buying one after the holidays. I always wanted to purchase some products from Michael Todd. A travel bag would be nice to put it in, but you can always purchase a cheaper bag or use a bag on hand if you have one, think I might do that as well.
I always wondered how well these brushes worked. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I had something similar to this many years ago. It did not have a brush, but you had to put a pad on it. I have been looking at one of these. I want to give it a try so bad!
This looks like a great way to get a deep clean!

I have heard great things about these and would love to try it.
It looks like beeing in a spa or beauty salon, I like that procedures can be eaily done at home. Would be great to use Soniclear Anti-Microbial Skin Cleansing System during some snowy days when we cannot leave for our fave spa.
I like that there are less expensive alternatives when it comes to these brush cleansing systems. I also like that it can be used in the shower!
