Where Did THOSE Hands Come From?!
This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as a part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.
I looked at my hands the other day and saw something for the first time. No, it wasn’t some kind of marking or alarming growth. What I saw was much worse: someone else’s hands. Maybe my grandmothers, but more likely my mom’s hands. Don’t get my wrong, I have nothing against my mom’s hands; they are kind and caring and make gnocchi that is to die for.
For me it was something much more surreal. The realization that I am no spring chicken. I feel it more every day with aches and pains as well as issues with my vision. I ask more questions at the doctor in hopes of finding ways to slow the aging process or at least find ways to deal with it better. Over the past few years, I’ve spent a lot of time revamping my daily routine. No longer do I just throw on a touch of makeup and go. Now, I spent more time applying anti-aging moisturizers, creams, serums or whatever else I can find. I have noticed a difference and it’s a reminder that I need to be more diligent in other aspects as well. Like using hand lotion to ward off the signs of aging there as well.
…and remembering to take my vitamins. Like so many people, I suck at that. It’s something I need to work on and I’ve been diligent about remembering. I’ve finally gotten into the habit of taking my doctor-recommended multi-vitamin as well as fish oil, but recently I added a new one to the mix, a probiotic.
I remember seeing all the commercials about the probiotic yogurt and I thought it was ridiculous. Then I tried it and realized it was a good addition to my diet. Maybe it was because I was eating yogurt instead of a waffle, but I was generally feeling better. Then I got tired of yogurt and quit buying it and didn’t think much else about it until I recently started experiencing gas and bloating. I had a short-term sample of a probiotic that I decided to try. It wasn’t until I stopped taking it that I once again remembered why I wanted to be more diligent about vitamins and supplements. But I didn’t replenish the supply because it just wasn’t a priority and I kept forgetting to pick them during normal shopping trips to Walmart.
Until I saw my hands… THEN I remembered.
Now I’m back on track, so on a recent trip to my Walmart SuperCenter, I grabbed a box of Nature Made Digestive Probiotics dietary supplement at their everyday low price. Why Nature Made instead of one of the other brands available? That’s simple. Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories.*
Each night with my dinner I take them in addition to the other vitamins and supplements. My next step is to get back to normal dinners and regular exercise while pursuing motivation and tips that might help me get back on track. Available at Walmart SuperCenters, Nature Made® Probiotics: Nature Made® Advanced Dual Action Probiotic has been clinically studied and provides dual support to both your small and large intestine for comprehensive coverage to help support digestive balance and healthy gut flora.†
I don’t know how you feel about vitamins and supplements, but it’s something I only started appreciating as I started seeing signs of aging. If you need a little more information and encouragement, I invite you to visit the Nature Made Retailer Hub to learn more and enter to win one of 60 (no that isn’t a typo!) $50 Walmart gift cards. I’ve already been to the website and entering is as easy as it is when we run giveaways on SahmReviews! If that isn’t incentive, consider this as well. Nature Made® vitamins and supplements: An easy, convenient way to help your body get the nutritional support it needs every day, whether it be to support bone health, immune health or energy metabolism (helping convert food into energy).† You can also visit Nature Made on Facebook and Twitter to get more details about their various products.
I’m not perfect and don’t expect vitamins and supplements to be an answer to my wish to remain young. But I do know that taking care of my body is a multi-faceted project and this is part of it. Hopefully you don’t wait until you see (and feel) the signs before deciding to take care of yourself.
