October 2022 Movies to See
With kids in school and schedules getting back to normal-ish, it’s easy to get lost in the chaos of being everywhere. But don’t forget to allocate time for yourself to see a movie or set aside family time to take in a movie together. It is, after all, one of those great ideas for family bonding.
The month of October seems to be split between horror (duh, it’s Halloween season) and historical dramas. There are some family, superhero and comedies in the mix, but this month seems to be one for bringing history to the big screen in some very powerful ways. Amsterdam is literally and figuratively on the top of our list, but there are several others that we’ll try to get to the theater to see as well. When the Primm family (Wu, Scoot McNairy, Winslow Fegley) moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle – a singing crocodile (Mendes) who loves baths, caviar and great music-living in the attic of his new home.
