November 2019 Movies to See
I read something the other day that said the likes and dislikes of millennials is changing what we will see on grocery shelves. I’ve heard the words vegan and vegetarian more in the past week than in the first four decades of my life. The article brought to mind how our viewing habits have changed. We lean toward watching from the DVR or streaming when it comes to TV shows, but we still cannot resist the lure of the movie theater. However, the release of El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie on Netflix has made me recognize that there are more options than simply a theatrical release and a “Made for TV” movie. Traditionally, those were the options with movies migrating from theaters to one of the major cable movie channels. With November’s launch of Disney+, streaming services like Netflix are upping the ante on the original programming that can only be viewed by their subscribers.
So unlike the prior lists of movie releases this year, this time I’m going to add in a couple that are showing on streaming services. First, it’s because I don’t want to forget about them in the sea of so many other shows and movies to stream or see at the theater. Second, because some of these may be available for limited viewing on the big screen so they can be up for consideration during awards season. Check out the trailers and movie details for titles from 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Entertainment Studios, Focus Features, Universal, Summit Entertainment, Walt Disney Studios, Amazon Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Pictures and STX Entertainment… and more!
