Head to Toe Fitness Outfits
There’s no doubt that I’m a proud mom. I’m not afraid to brag about my girls and their accomplishments. We encourage them to select the activities that interest them with the caveat that once they commit, they are must be all-in. No sleeping and skipping practices. No opting out of an event because something “better” came along. Regardless of whether they are in the orchestra, a group like Girl Scouts, an organized sport or an academic group, their “teammates” are counting on them. They have always agreed to our terms and surprised us by working hard to achieve goals set by their coaches/instructors as well as themselves.
As the school year starts to wind down, academic and music programs are done or finishing up and summer camps and sports registrations are in full swing. We’ve already locked in spots for a few academic camps and are preparing to have the track club on the agenda again this year as well.
There’s a problem though. The girls are growing like weeds. We haven’t tried on their running clothes yet but regardless, we know they need new running shoes for the season. Practices are 3-5 times per week, a few hours per practice. That’s a lot of wear and tear on the feet, so we always spring for new shoes to minimize injuries. Even if we got lucky and they fit into their old gear, it’s important to protect their feet by providing them with quality shoes.
Then we headed to check out the clothing and discovered that there wasn’t a lot of variety in Miss K’s size. She found a shirt from one Fila and a pair of shorts that matched from Nike. Being the fashionista that she is, she needs to match – even when running.
Since Miss M is now out of the children’s sizes, she has more choices in traditional workout gear. She found a cool shirt and shorts, and even a long sleeve running shirt. That will be perfect for the practices during stormy, cooler nights as well as ones where the bugs are particularly festive.
The great thing is that we’re able to watch for discounts throughout the store and outfit the girls from head to toe for approximately $100 per child. From headbands and hats to brand name socks and shoes and a lot in-between, Kohl’s Fitness products have you covered.
$100, including shoes isn’t bad at all! I recently bought our boys’ car seats on Kohls.com and wound up with $150 back in Kohl’s Cash and Yes2You rewards. Love that store!
I love all these shoes. I have a bit of an obsession with buying running shoes. The brighter the better.
Kohl’s is a great store, especially for kids. A great selection which eliminates shopping all over the place. The sneaker colors are great, and you did well with your dollars.

I rarely rarely stop in Kohls. I had no idea they had such a great running section!! I ran in highschool and as a young woman, now I jog/push the stroller. I will definitely have to check them out!! Good footwear is so important for long term joint health and preventing injuries, it looks like Kohls has it all!
They have a pretty well-rounded collection of fitness apparel. No wonder you found so much for them!
Kohl’s is one of my personal favorite stores and even if it weren’t–it is my Mom’s and she would get me to go there. It is rare that you can’t find whatever it is that you need at a decent price.
Hubby and I recently purchased new gym shoes at Kohls and love them. we purchased them on sale and even got $20 back to use the following week. Score!!
