Who among us is willing to admit that stocking stuffers are often an afterthought; a last-minute candy-grab to meet the obligation of stuffing the actual stocking? We’re here to say that it doesn’t have to be like that. Yes, there were some years where we went straight for the candy aisle because we didn’t regularly purchase candy for the girls otherwise. Other times, we carefully curated small, inexpensive items while doing our other shopping. You can add one small game or toy like the examples featured here to give the stocking that “full” look then add candy, hair accessories, pencils, stickers, gift cards, lottery tickets (for adult children) or whatever to make it overflow! All the items on this list are small and perfect for exactly this task!

I love including something that can peak out the top. This year was a beanie baby for her and stuffed toys for the pets. I think sometimes the stocking get forgotten about amongst the gifts!

i find stocking stuffers through out the year and wrap them as i find them. everyone is always surprised at what is in them!
When I fill my family’s stockings, I always try to have a mix of things. Something tasty, something pretty, something educational, something weird/fun! I also have a strange tradition that my husband gets a Christmas-themed lego minifig every year in his stocking!
I think personalizing everyones stockings to their likes really makes them special. I like to get similar things but make each different to what they like. My youngest daughter is obsessed with cats and needs Super Cats!
Lots of candy is the key!
