The LED lighting running along the edges and down the support bar gives a more personalized feel to the desk. It may seem unnecessary, these types of small details enhance activities. I know this first hand because we purchased lighting strips like this for both of the girls to use around their desk in their dorm rooms.

Finally, I want to address the most important feature of this: the assembly process. We’ve purchased a lot of furniture in our day and you often sacrifice quality for ease of assembly. That wasn’t the case here. The high quality components were surprisingly easy to put together.
