Holiday Giveaways 2023 – Color My Quest 11 Book Prize Package by Dice Up Games
Over the past several years, there’s been an uptick in the interest in role playing games (RPGs) like Dungeons & Dragons. Maybe it’s because of the movie or inclusion in shows like Stranger Things and Big Bang Theory. It’s awesome because these types of game keep people of all ages engaged together offline and are a great idea for family bonding. We took a cruise earlier this year and were thrilled to see an extended family playing. One gentleman told us his teen nephew planned the whole thing and they met daily to play while on the cruise. Color My Quest is a color and cut role playing game from Dice Up Games that was included in our STEM & Activities gift guide this holiday season. Not only is it designed for players as young as FOUR, but it adds another layer to this exciting genre of gaming. There are free printables on their website, but Dice Up Games has offered to send one of our readers an Color My Quest prize package that includes ELEVEN different books! Adventure your way through the entry form as you attempt to be the winner of this awesome prize:

I really don’t think there is a hard age to introduce children to tabletop role playing games, and it should be based on the interests and maturity level of the individual child. Due to our interests, my grandchildren were introduced to games early around 5 and are quick learners. Select easy role-playing tasks and marvel at the imagination and creativity bloom!
Preteens is a good time
I haven’t yet, obviously, as mine is 18mo. I have a PDF of a kiddie-ized D&D clone I picked up a few years back, somewhere, and I probably will use that when the time come….
This looks like fun. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
Not really a “best age”, though I suppose it has to at least involve when they’re talking and have some attention span, but there are already all sorts of options for kids as young as 3-4 years old (if short). Start by engaging their imaginations and start even earlier by reading to them.
I would say preteen is a good age. I have not had to introduce role playing game.
It really depends on both the child and the game! Generally speaking, I would say late elementary.
It would depend on the child. Probably around 5 and make it family time.
4th grade seems to be about the right age to me.
I think that age decision is different for every child-based on maturity, vocabulary, etc.
As soon as they’re able to understand basic concepts is a great age to introduce them.
